Biography
Sufi Punk trained at one of UK’s leading popular music colleges in 2015.
Prior to this she worked on over a 100 productions and projects in arts and music in places like UK, Holland, Denmark, Norway, India, Kosovo to name a few.
Sufi Punk has put over 500 women on the map as Artists or Creatives and helped establish and launch many artistic careers.
She has engaged over a 1000 participants in seminars, workshops and talks and the audience of her shows has exceeded 10,000. From presenting at Industry events like World Music Expo in Seville to more local arts and cultural events like the “Stronger Together conference in Belfast” her work has supported many themes.
Her inspiration as an Artistic Director includes using islamic resources and texts to create a universal understanding and connection.
She was given a one off prestigious award from the Islamic Bank of Britain for her contribution to Islamic Art.
Her Alumni’s include British Council’s Interaction and Active Citizenship programme. USA Embassy’s International Exchange Alumni, The Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship.
She received investment from Unltd Level 2 in the past and her Productions have been supported by Arts Council England and UK Trade and Investment.
Her artistic practise has been discussed in many journals, books, research papers and cited as UK Government and European good practise.
